Favorite Reads

These are just a sampling of some of my favorite books.

  • THE ART OF LOOKING SIDEWAYS — ALAN FLETCHER

My all-time favorite book. You haven't learned to see until you've read this book.
  • INFORMATION GRAPHICS — PHAIDON PRESS (MULTIPLE AUTHORS)

One of the most beautiful data visualization books out there. The cover, designed by IA, is also a beautiful poster which I have yet to frame for my home.
  • FEARLESS COLOR GARDENS — KEEYLA MEADOWS

An incredible mixture of nature and color. Keeyla will inspire you to bring more color to your garden with some suggested techniques.
  • ITALIANISSIMO: THE QUINTESSENTIAL GUIDE TO WHAT ITALIANS DO BEST — LOUISE FILI & LISE APATOFF

A cute tiny book full of fantastic typography and some Italian culture that you cannot miss.
  • HEY, WHIPPLE, SQUEEZE THIS: THE CLASSIC GUIDE TO CREATING GREAT ADS — LUKE SULLIVAN

A very witty and funny recap of what it is like to work in the ad industry. He shows the highlights, the lowlights and everything thing else that makes advertising… well, advertising.
  • DISC DOGS! THE COMPLETE GUIDE — PETER BLOEME & JEFF PERRY

If you own a Border Collie (shout out Poppy Joos) or any other high energy animal this book is for you. The authors capture many different techniques and throws to get your dog ready for a fly-disc competition.
  • THE ART OF GETTING OVER — STEPHEN POWERS (ESPO)

When it comes to books about graffiti and street art, The Art of Getting Over is hands down #1.
  • THE VARIETIES OF SCIENTIFIC EXPERIENCE — CARL SAGAN

    Wait, what just happened!?
  • HOW TO HAVE A BEAUTIFUL MIND — EDWARD de BONO

Edward de Bono shows you how to hold a conversation with anyone and keep it elegant and engaging. This is a must have for someone that is interested in the Art of Conversation
